During sleep hypnosis, I will guide you into a state of relaxation and provides positive suggestions for improving sleep. These suggestions can alter your perception of sleep and encourage healthy sleep habits. Typically, a course of sleep hypnosis consists of about four to six sessions.

Sleep hypnosis can be effective for individuals struggling with insomnia, helping them to fall asleep. However, its effectiveness may be limited for those who are not highly suggestible to hypnosis.

Hypnotherapy leverages the deeply relaxed and natural state of hypnosis to facilitate positive emotional and behavioural changes. This solution-focused treatment has proven effective for various sleep disorders, including insomnia, sleep apnoea, and snoring.

By promoting relaxation and providing an opportunity to reorient thoughts and emotions, hypnosis can be a valuable tool for enhancing sleep. For individuals with conditions such as insomnia, small studies have shown modest sleep benefits from hypnotherapy.

Hypnosis is not the same as sleep. Although some deeper forms of hypnosis may give the impression of sleep due to the body’s stillness and calmness, the individual remains awake and aware.

Hypnosis administered by a trained therapist is considered a safe complementary and alternative medical treatment. However, it may not be suitable for individuals with severe mental illness. While adverse reactions to hypnosis are rare, they can include dizziness, headache, drowsiness, and nausea.
